Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Issue
GitHub is using repositories to train Microsoft Copilot.
Solutions
We already have Codeberg & Disroot mirrors up, so how about move to one of those?
Problems
We would lose contributors, have to re-setup Pages, and re-setup the organization.
That's why the title says Possibility. If we ever reach the point in which we want to, we can look back at this issue.
This is not saying "DO THIS RIGHT NOW!", just a place to discuss it.
GitHub is also owned by Microsoft, which isn't... great with consumer privacy.
If we do switch, it could still be crawled for AI, but Microsoft IS training AI, other platforms have not been confirmed to.
Too much of a pain, I realized. Closing
